2025 PRESIDENTS' LETTER
Dear SITE Northeast Members,
It is both an honor and a joy be sharing this update with you as your 2025 President. We continue building on the momentum ignited with our inspiring theme of "Building Community through Connections."
What a year it has been!
We began the year with a purposeful CSR activity on March 10th, on the opening day of SMU International in NYC. Our chapter came together to support Light the Candle, an organization founded by one of our very own members, Jordan Lacey. Light the Candle is a mission-based organization created to inspire and empower foster children to become tomorrow’s leaders.
We held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 17th at the beautiful Virgin Hotel in NYC, introducing our new Board of Directors to our members, sharing accomplishments and setting goals and a collaborative tone for the year ahead. In the spring, our Young Leaders Mentoring and Mingling in May event at Libera inside the Ace Hotel was a huge success, giving emerging leaders the chance to connect and grow.
We savored summer’s renewal at our Annual Picnic in the Park on June 13th, hosted in Central Park’s Heckscher area. The morning yoga, light bites, and lively networking made for a rejuvenating day—and a portion of proceeds benefited the SEARCH Foundation, helping event professionals facing life‑threatening illness.
Summer also brought the magic of SITE Unseen at the Wylder Hotel in the Catskills, where we stepped away from the everyday to recharge and strengthen bonds. And just recently, our rooftop Cooking, Cocktails & Connections, another fabulous event by and for our young leaders, mixed business with fun, proving once again the power of networking in a relaxed setting all while raising money for the very busy New York Food Bank.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled about two major gatherings where we hope to see many of you:
SITE Northeast at Sea in Boston Harbor – September 26th
10th Annual Falliday Soirée & Live Auction in NYC – October 30th
As we carry forward, let’s remember that community through connections means not only supporting each other but also making a positive difference in the world around us.
To our volunteers, thank you for your passion. To our sponsors, thank you for fueling our success. And to our members, thank you for being the heart of SITE Northeast. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected, and more responsible future for incentive travel.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Laura Shea

December 3, 2019
We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of our dearly loved 2019 SITE Northeast USA Chapter President, Jeannette Lupachino, CMM, CIS, HMCC, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Jeannette's contributions to our Chapter started the moment she joined our board. In particular her tireless efforts in the creation of our keystone event, our annual Silent Auction, truly drove our chapter to the next level of success. Due of Jeannette’s hard work and initiative, we have been able to offer scholarships to our members to attend valuable and educational industry events for the past 3 years, and allowed us to grow our footprint of SITE Northeast leaders on a global scale. In addition the moment Jeannette walked into a room everyone felt welcomed, valued and part of our greater family. I know I am echoing everyone’s feelings of appreciation for Jeannette’s unrelenting dedication, support, leadership and friendship. To say she will be deeply missed by us all by us all is an understatement. In recognition of Jeannette's invaluable contributions to the incentive travel community, we are honored and humbled to dedicate an annual $1,000 Chapter Scholarship in her name - "The Jeannette Lupachino SHINE Scholarship", to be used for one SITE Northeast Member to attend a SITE Global event or Educational Program hosted by our Chapter, decided on an annual basis by the SITE Northeast USA Board of Directors. We have named it the Jeannette Lupachino SHINE scholarship based on key qualities Jeannette demonstrated both personally and professionally: • Success • Hospitality • Innovation • Nurture • Energy "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." |
Incentive Travel. Business Results.
